Introduction
This Digital Privacy, Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising Notice supplements the Questrade Financial Group Inc. (“QFG”) Privacy Policy, and provides information regarding QFG’s digital data handling practices. This notice details how we use cookies, software development kits (SDKs) and other technologies when you interact with our websites and mobile applications, and how we interact with you and your personal information on social media. It also explains how we partner with third parties to provide you with advertising content most relevant to your interests.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, software development kits (SDKs) and other technologies may be used by us and our service providers on our websites and applications. These technologies allow us to recognize you, remember your settings, help us protect the security of our websites and apps, and can be used to show you relevant ads on our and third parties’ digital properties.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our websites. These cookies enable core functionalities such as user login authentication, session management, security features, load balancing, and access to secure website areas.

• Functionality cookies. These cookies are used to recognize you when you return to our websites, and remember choices you made in the past. This allows us to customize your online experience, for example, by remembering your choice of language or region.

• Performance cookies. These types of cookies collect information about how a visitor interacts with a website, such as which pages they have visited, which links they have clicked on, or how much time they have spent on a website. • Advertising cookies. These cookies help us make the advertising displayed to you more relevant to your interests and to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising on other websites. Please see “Interest-Based Advertising ” below for more information with respect to QFG’s use of advertising cookies and your choices.

We may also use device location information for analytics and marketing purposes.

Social Media
While QFG maintains an active presence on various social media platforms, these sites are third-party entities not affiliated with our organization.

Any information you post on QFG’s public social media pages or platforms we moderate is accessible to the platform provider and the general public, and QFG may collect and use this information for the purposes identified in our Privacy Policy. We strongly advise against sharing sensitive personal or account-specific information in public forums or private messages on these platforms.

On platforms we moderate, we reserve the right to remove any posts that contain personal information, defamatory content, or unauthorized advertisements to protect the privacy and security of our community, and may use automated tools to detect activity that violates our community rules.

Interest-Based Advertising
We work with advertising partners to show you ads for our products on other websites based on your interactions with us, and inferences drawn about you from these interactions. These partners, which may include social media companies and other platform operators, may use personal information collected through tracking technologies to determine what QFG financial products might interest you and show you ads for these products.

When we work with partners, such as social media platforms, to identify individuals who may benefit from our products and services, we may share a "hashed" version of your personal information, such as an email address or phone number. Hashing is a process that turns your contact information into a unique code, allowing the ad platform to recognize you securely without us giving them your actual, identifiable data. This information can then be used to show you social media ads for additional products you may be interested in, or to identify and display ads to individuals on social media who may be interested in QFG financial products.

Your Privacy Choices
You have several mechanisms available to control how your digital information is collected and used:

1. Cookie Banner: You can control or reject cookies via the cookies pop up on our websites. Please note that if you opt-out of certain types of cookies, the website may lose some functionality.

2. Third Party Site Opt-Outs: You can opt-out of interest-based advertising from social media websites by updating your settings on those platforms. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from other participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (DAAC) at youradchoices.ca/choices.

3. Analytics Opt-Out: To prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Important Technical Note: Most opt-out mechanisms are cookie-based. If you clear your browser cookies, use a different browser, or change devices, you may need to re-establish your opt-out preferences.
